Inspired by photography at 18, Ponce, Puerto Rico–born Arnaldo Anaya-Lucca worked his way up from salesman at the Ralph Lauren flagship store in New York in 1988 to fashion stylist in 1995, when he had his first photography assignment for the company.

He left Ralph Lauren in 1997 to pursue photography full time and has since contributed to a variety of magazines.
